Chan Choi Lai is my husband's brother-in -law. We lived in Vancouver, he lived in HK.Eventhough we visited one another infrequently over the years, I got to know him well.He was a kind gentleman.
As a scientist, he was always methodical and meticulous in his plannings. Two incidents popped up in my mind. One time, he forgot the combination sequence of his locked luggage. He tried to unlock it by trying out all the possible combinations. Another time, he spent hours trying to figure out what is the most efficient and cost effective way to travel from Vancouver to LA.I guess, you can say that he is a borned mathematician .
His house is filled with books. Books that deal with drama, theater, philosophy,science and so on.Pursuit of knowledge is his interest in life. He had fulfilled his destiny.
